Well, I just couldn't wait to give you more pictures so you can enjoy the LA / Hollywood we enjoyed while visiting my nephew in Vegas. His wife Jackie, drove us out to LA. We drove the famous Route 66. I saw country while they filmed lots of western movies. I saw the extreme "trees" which I had to take pics of.
Jackie drove us over the infamous overpass that crashed and killed and hurt lots of people going and come to LA. It was horrible! I remember watching it on TV. Our hotel overlooked the Hollywood hills and the famous sign. The Renaissance Hotel is almost right next to the Kodak Theatre. We took pictures of lots of "stars" stars. Hollywood Blvd was nothing much to see. l I was somewhat disappointed. I expected to see more plush surroundings. We stopped in the Chinese Theatre to get gifts and walked along the strip and took pictures of costumed people. I didn't know we were supposed to pay for them to act out for us. I think Jackie gave them a tip.
I bought my first pair of Sketchers shoes and to this day, I still have them and they are in great shape! What a great shoe. Since then, I bought my Sketchers sneakers for our Med cruise last year. Well worth it.
Jackie drove us all around the Hollywood hills to see some homes of famous people. One of my favourite is Jennifer Aniston but we couldn't see her house very well because of the high fence and trees. We drove up Mulholland Drive. It was a great place to visit. I wish we had more time here but we only had the one night. Jackie even drove up to the area that she was brought up in.
I'll post my pictures in segments because there are so many. I hope you enjoy them. I know I did.
Thank you and take care all. I appreciate you following and reading my blogs.
