How can I even begin to tell you how absolutely incredible our trip to Kauai, Hawaii was?! From the Wyndham Bali Hai vacation resort in the northeast of the island, to the incredible beauty of the entire island and the fabulous island people, who I can say were the friendliest people I have ever met.
The security personnel at the Honolulu airport went out of her way to reassure me that the water bulbs I purchased at Pearl Harbour will be mailed to me at home if I guaranteed her she would get her $12.00 back. Where do you find people like this? In Hawaii! Even the Hawaiian airline people were outstanding in their friendliness. You really were made to feel at home everywhere you went.
The little community stores, the hand made items and the feel of Hawaii was evident in the buildings, the store layouts, but mostly the staff. Wonderful people, I can't say it enough. I love them and hope to go back some day.
The six of us women had a fabulous unit at Whynham Bali Hai with 3 full bathrooms & bedrooms and two had jet tubs! The pool and surrounding grounds were breathtaking. I loved it here so much. The decor of the unit & rooms with a full complete kitchen (some things I don't even have home here), made it all the more comfortable for all of us and we called it home.
Our large L shaped deck was a place we loved to eat breakfast and diner. We were so hungry when we got there late Friday night, we shopped the next day and all bot too much food and drinks!
The jewelery is pretty cheap there. We found some great buys for gifts and clothes. We loved the ABC store and they had a great K-Mart. We loved K-Mart. I found some beautiful jewelery there so I bought a beautiful ring & bracelet. The girls gave me the most beautiful necklace with the Island's flower in gold, to thank me but it is I who should thank them. Six women together in one unit and we all got along great. What a trip.
