dinner in PEI

Well, I just returned from a Pub in PEI with good and bad reviews.  It was a lovely place called Rum Runners near the Delta hotel.  The inside was historic and I loved the layout.  The waiter was a very friendly young person, who did everything to accommodate me.  I ordered the fish and chips, but the fish seemed overly cooked so I asked if I could have another less cooked.  He said he'd ask the cook.  I also asked if the fries could be exchanged for Sweet Potato Fries and he said he would see.  He returned with the warmest, nicest small loaf of bread with cheese on top and what an enjoyment!  I never tasted any bread better.  They get it everyday from a local bakery.  I enjoyed the warm bread until he returned with my meal.  This time, the fish was barely cooked, since the cook was trying to please me, but it still was not up to par for me.  I'm use to some really good fish, like in Newfoundland.  They gave me the sweet potato fries for my troubles.  So I sat and enjoyed the rest of my meal while sipping my warm tea.  All in all, I have to say the trouble over my fish was small in comparison to the enjoyment of the establishment and the waiter and the rest of my meal.  A friend said their ribs were excellent, but I can' comment since I haven't tried them.  Happy eating!!
