My many adventures

I survived breast cancer, to travel around the world to some of the many places I've always wanted to go. There are lots more places I still want to visit.

I've been to Scotland, England, Vancouver, Victoria BC, an Alaskan cruise, Yukon, Alaska (Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway), a fab Mediterranean cruise which took us to Barcelona, the Vatican & Rome, the island of Crete, Izmir & Sulcuk, Ephesus Turkey, Egypt and Malta. I have been to Las Vegas, Hollywood LA, Cabo San Lucas, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Tampa, a Disney Cruise to Bahamas and Disney's Castaway Cay island, all over Canada and Hawaii and Pearl Harbour. We can add Cozumel, Costa Maya, Mexico, Belize City and Honduras. What a fabulous way to see the world!
Take the time to do the things you want to do because life is too short and if you wait until you can afford it, you'll likely never go. So get your plans ready and pick a place and start booking your trip. It is so worth it.

Thanks for dropping by. I have lots of posts to put up so stay tuned...

BLOG POST June 2019

Hi Folks! During a convention in Toronto in 2017, my grandson and I visited Niagara Falls, CN Tower and went to Medieval Knights dinner theatre. We had such a fabulous time! I will be posting pictures of that wonderful trip.

I still have a great deal of travel posts to put up. I want our vacations and travel to be shared with you all. I'm not sure of what our travel plans will be for 2017, but for 2016, I rested all the time. Retirement is so awesome!! I was able to take pictures of the summer's Totally Eclipse of the Moom, which I'll share with you here on a post. It was incredible for sure.
I just love summer! I hope the winter will be gentle to us.

Still trying to find my ancesters with the Foran/Forhan name. Apparently two brothers came over from Dublin, one was name Edward who had a son named Edward born in Prince Edward Island and he had a son named William who had my father. I love doing ancestry but it is very frustrating when you can get no further without the "parents" names.

I have so many posts to write about so please keep patience with me. I received a great posting from SiteHoundSniffs.com which looks to be a great animal site. Hope you enjoy it.

My granddaughter Layla made it to Master Chef Canada in 2018 but was cut. She's still a great cook.

My little guy Rialey is now 16 and is 6'2 ". He is so thoughtful of me and helps me a lot.

I had hoped to travel last year or in 2019, but health issues stopped that thought. Now I face another health issue, heart failure. Last May 2018 I was admitted to hospital and went into cardiac arrest. Thankfully they brought me back. With all the great health care, I am in recovery. When you don't have yur health, you have nothing. I think I have about 8 specialist doctors and my MD and I pay nothing, thank goodness!

Take care my blogger friends.

Thanks friends,

Debbie

Sleep Bamboo Sheet Set Review Dec. 2010

I received my double sheet set for review near the first of December 2010. I was pleasantly surprised to see the set was white and the package also contained two soaps, one white and one black.

The first thing I did was to gently open the sheet set, almost as if they were made of fragile material, but I think it was more in "awe". I touched the sheets with my fingers then slowly rolled them across my hands. The touch was light but the texture was something I have never felt before! As I drew the sheet set out of their package, I held them up to the light, I felt the softness of the material and the lightness the sheets felt on my skin. There was a sheen glow on the sheets and they smelled lightly of freshness.

I carried them to my bedroom to put them on my bed. As I opened the package all the way to expose the entire sheet set, I couldn't believe my eyes! It's hard to explain, but I've never seen sheets so shiny and smooth. I have been looking for Egyptian cotton sheets for a long time and purchased a set about 3 months back and they didn't hold a candle to the Bamboo sheet set.

I tucked and straightened out the Bamboo sheets on my bed then I slowly put the pillow cases on my pillows. I was surprised to find the pillow cases much larger than ordinary pillow cases. They fit my large pillows to a T. After the bed was all set up, I decided to take a nice bath before I climbed in between my new sheets. I used the Bamboo soaps they sent me as well. The rich lather of the soaps was the softest I've ever used. The lather was so soft! The soap had a particular slight smell to it that would later remind me of woods or greens. This was not offensive to my smell as I am a person with a scent sensitivity. It was just a slight pleasant soapy smell.

I have a skin condition and the Bamboo soaps have made an difference. My skin is much softer, the condition I have is not as evident when I use the soap. I am now using it on my kids to see how they react to it and they like it.

After a nice bath, with rich, soft soap, I climbed into my bed. The anticipation was overpowering and I went to bed early. I pulled back the covers, looked at the way the sheets and pillow cases gleamed on my bed and climbed in. My first reaction was feeling the coldness of the sheets, after all it is winter here. But I have to say within moments - not minutes, but moments, the sheets were so warm and cozy. I couldn't believe it! It felt like I had been in bed for a long time to get them this warm. Once the initial feeling of the sheets set in, I began to explore how my feet and hands felt against the Bamboo material sheets. It was awesome! I have never felt anything so soft, rich and smooth in my life! I found my dream sheets finally. Throughout the entire night and many more after, I still run my feet, hands and body over the sheets, just enjoying the feel of the sheets and happy that I found sheets that I truly love to sleep in. As my head lay on the pillow, the softness of the material on my face was so nice. I couldn't believe my luck for being so lucky to try out and review such a fantastic product.

I can honestly say, that when it was time to take our cruise to Europe, I wanted to bring my sheets with me, but I didn't. They were the one thing I missed from home. They were also the one thing I couldn't wait to climb in to when we returned home very early Christmas morning. While we were on vacation, both my sister and her granddaughter sleep in my bed and tried out the sheets and they reacted the same as I did. The sheets were cool at first but moments later the warmth filled the bed. They loved the feel, the softness and the luxury of these incredible sheets!

Today, I am enjoying my Bamboo sheet set as if I just received them. I did learn that as you wash the sheets, the coldness of the sheen goes away so you won't get those moments of cold when you climb in your bed. Folks, it is a product that is well worth purchasing. You won't be sorry and it is a true eco investment for your future sleep and health. I honestly love these sheets.

I wish you all will take the opportunity to purchase a set of Bamboo Sleep Sheets and enjoy a lifetime of restful sleep in true luxury and comfort.

Thank you for reading my review of Sleep Bamboo Sheet Sets.  Pictures of the sheets and soap will follow at a later date.
