Hi Folks!
So many incredible pictures just from this amazing Glacier, Mendenhall. I'll share some of the pictures here. I sent a few to my friends and they were amazed by the quality of the pictures. Some thought they were paintings.
My new Canon Camera is wonderful and so much better than the Nikon 6200 I had, which was the 2nd one I exchanged for. Nikon still had the same problems with picture taking. If the flash wasn't on, then the shutter was slow to take the picture and sometimes wouldn't even click and we lost many pictures in Egypt, Turkey and Rome. Our pictures even in Spain were very blurry at times.
Now that I have this new wonderful Canon camera, all my pictures are just about perfect, unless I moved the camera to make the picture blurry.
The Mendenhall is one of the Glaciers of the North that has receeded so much with Global Warming. The Glacier use to be so much more into the water. People who saw this Glacier before mentioned to us how much bigger it use to be.
I have so many more to post from this area and more so stay tuned.
I hope you enjoy these incredible pictures along with our many adventures!
The first picture is what we saw when the bus pulled up. Our eyes opened so wide and we were so excited! It was our very first Glacier sighting in person. WOW, it is amazing to see.

Layla capturing the Mendenhall Glacier with wonder. How beautiful it is! |
This is one of my favourites. You can see how much the little guy Rialey has grown and almost taller than his sis. |
Another lovely view of the Glacier & the water fall is on the right of the picture. |
Rialey wanted to point out the Glacier too so we took this picture to prove he was here. |
You can really see the blue of the Glacier here in this closeup. AMAZING! |
This picture did a better job of capturing the Glacier, the Mendenhall Glacier and the waterfall on the right. |
This is a fabulous close of of the Mendenhall Glacier with the Glacier cave on the bottom. |
