When in Barcelona, on our last day, we traveled on the Hop on Hop Off Bus and it is worth it. So much cheaper and the tour takes in lots of places to see. When you see something or want to go somewhere, you just hop off and when you're ready, you hop back on when another bus comes along.
We toured the Gothic area we were staying in. We went up to the Catalonia National Art Museum which was unfortunately closed, but we took great pics of the scenery. It was breathtaking! It was during this ride that we also discovered the sky ride up the mountain. We should have done it earlier in our stay, but that will have to be done on another visit to Barcelona. We also didn't get to go to the beach. I didn't realize how close we were.
So folks, that shows you how NOT to plan your trip. It is really best to do lots of research on what to see and how to see it before you go on your trip. Watch out for thieves, they work in groups. Keep valuables hidden or in the hotel safe. Remember to keep your kids close. Don't trust anyone. One woman on our cruise lost all her luggage, documents and passport. She fly to Rome to meet our ship and had to apply for a new passport. What a mess that was. Sorry for so many pictures, but the view from the Museum was astounding! SO BEAUTIFUL! Barcelona has so many things to do and to see. I wish we had more time to see a lot more but next time we will. Sorry I can fix the side pictures, perhaps your computer can.
