The past four months, I have stayed at the Delta Saint John, Delta Fredericton, Delta Charlottetown, Delta Sydney and Delta St. John's (NL).
The Delta Hotels I've been staying in have been excellent for comfort, service and hospitality, except for the Saint John Delta. I found this hotel still rated an excellent review, but I was not made to feel as special as I the other Delta Hotels. The best Delta Hotel is the Fredericton Delta Hotel. This hotel is so beautifully designed, the layout is very posh and the hotel service is fabulous! The room was spacious with the newer flatscreen TV and it had the one thing I like, a lot of channels to watch.
The bathroom was very clean and the tub enclosure was very nice. It didn't have the "used" look to it that a lot of hotels seem to have today. I like the little extras in the bathroom, with the q-tips and cotton balls (wish they could include floss though).
The bedrooms had kingsize beds. The quilted blankets were like a white cloud, the pillows were like laying your head on an real cloud but the bed..... WOW, it was comfort beyond words! One couldn't help sliding the feet over and over under the cool cotton sheets while lying on a dream cloud.
They are trying to do their part to go green so when I checked out, they didn't put a pre-checkout sheet under my door during the night. This will reduce the number of invoices printed for all guests. This is the correct way to go Green. Thank you Delta!
The Services, including the housekeeping services do an outstanding job and I can't thank them enough. I leave a tip on the pillow each morning because they deserve it. The job of cleaning up after every guest deserves high pay and many thank yous.
The decor of the hotel and the rooms were modern and kept serviced. Nothing is worse to a traveller than to go to a upscale hotel to find it in disrepair. Delta Hotels are kept up and are very clean
Last discussion is on the food. The food at the Delta was reasonable and tasty. Room service is excellent but more costly. Some food costs might need to be weighed as to whether or not it is worth the price. However, the food is still very good. At the Fredericton Delta, the outdoor patio with the outdoor swimming pool and the grassed hut bar made it just like a resort. You couldn't have asked for more.
One time I checked into the Delta Charlottetown from Deer Lake and I had been travelling a lot. I must have looked it because she upgraded me to a large room with a jacuzzi in it and a water view. These expert service agents know when a client has had a hard day travelling and I travel a lot!
