My many adventures

Hi Folks, sorry I deleted my paragraph where I tell you all about all the places I've been to.
I'm blessed since surviving breast cancer, to travel around the world to some of the many places I've always wanted to go. There are lots more places I want to visit.
I've been to Scotland, England, Victoria BC, an Alaskan cruise, a fab Mediterranean cruise which took us to Barcelona, the Vatican & Rome, the island of Crete, Izmir & SulcukEphesus Turkey, Egypt and Malta. I have been to Las Vegas, Hollywood LA, Cabo San Lucas, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Tampa, a Disney Cruise to Bahamas and Disney's Castaway Cay island, all over Canada and Hawaii and Pearl Harbour. We can add Cozumel, Costa Maya, Mexico, Belize City and Honduras. What a fabulous way to see the world!
Take the time to do the things you want to do because life is too short and if you wait until you can afford it, you'll likely never go. So get your plans ready and pick a place and start booking your trip. It is so worth it.
Thanks for dropping by. I have lots of posts to put up so stay tuned...

BLOG POST OF THE MONTH: Sept 20, 2016

Hi Folks! I have been away from posting because my 40 year old daughter finally got married Aug 27th 2016. It was tiring but the wedding was wonderful and very happy in the end. I sent them on a beautiful honeymoon to Calabogie Lodge in Ontario. The resort was all wood interior with two bedrooms and the master suite with a bed so big. Apparently when the drove back home to Halifax, they started arguing and it lasted all the way over four provinces. Now she feels the argument wasn't so bad. Glad they enjoyed their first vacation ever! His brother loaned them his BMW which drove like a dream.

I still have a great deal of travel posts to put up. I want our vacations and travel to be shared with you all. I'm not sure of what our travel plans will be for 2017, but for 2016, I rested all the time. Retirement is so awesome!! I was able to take pictures of the summer's Totally Eclipse of the Moom, which I'll share with you here on a post. It was incredible for sure.

I had my annual cancer check up and everything was great! It makes me so happy unfortunately, my doctor had to retire due to illness and I am trying to get a family doctor. It is horrible when you don't have someone who looks after you and knows you.

We had a fabulous summer with little rain, although the farmers and rural residents were not too happy. Some people had to pay for water since their wells went dry. This rainless weather is not something we experience so it was a little frightening.

I've been busy trying to find my ancesters with the Foran/Forhan name. Apparently two brothers came over from Dublin, one was name Edward who had a son named Edward born in Prince Edward Island and he had a son named William who had my father. I love doing ancestry but it is very frustrating when you can get no further without the "parents" names.

Well, be on the look out for my various posts. I also have a few products I want to write about as well.
Thanks friends,

Debbie

Delta Hotels Review

The past four months, I have stayed at the Delta Saint John, Delta Fredericton, Delta Charlottetown, Delta Sydney and Delta St. John's (NL).

The Delta Hotels I've been staying in have been excellent for comfort, service and hospitality, except for the Saint John Delta.  I found this hotel still rated an excellent review, but I was not made to feel as special as I the other Delta Hotels.  The best Delta Hotel is the Fredericton Delta Hotel. This hotel is so beautifully designed, the layout is very posh and the hotel service is fabulous!  The room was spacious with the newer flatscreen TV and it had the one thing I like, a lot of channels to watch.

The bathroom was very clean and the tub enclosure was very nice.  It didn't have the "used" look to it that a lot of hotels seem to have today.  I like the little extras in the bathroom, with the q-tips and cotton balls (wish they could include floss though).

The bedrooms had kingsize beds. The quilted blankets were like a white cloud, the pillows were like laying your head on an real cloud but the bed..... WOW, it was comfort beyond words!  One couldn't help sliding the feet over and over under the cool cotton sheets while lying on a dream cloud.

They are trying to do their part to go green so when I checked out, they didn't put a pre-checkout sheet under my door during the night.  This will reduce the number of invoices printed for all guests.  This is the correct way to go Green.  Thank you Delta!

The Services, including the housekeeping services do an outstanding job and I can't thank them enough.  I leave a tip on the pillow each morning because they deserve it.  The job of cleaning up after every guest deserves high pay and many thank yous.

The decor of the hotel and the rooms were modern and kept serviced.  Nothing is worse to a traveller than to go to a upscale hotel to find it in disrepair. Delta Hotels are kept up and are very clean

Last discussion is on the food.  The food at the Delta was reasonable and tasty.  Room service is excellent but more costly.  Some food costs might need to be weighed as to whether or not it is worth the price.  However, the food is still very good. At the Fredericton Delta, the outdoor patio with the outdoor swimming pool and the grassed hut bar made it just like a resort.  You couldn't have asked for more.

One time I checked into the Delta Charlottetown from Deer Lake and I had been travelling a lot.  I must have looked it because she upgraded me to a large room with a jacuzzi in it and a water view.  These expert service agents know when a client has had a hard day travelling and I travel a lot!

Thank you to ALL the Deltas expecially the Fredericton Delta Charlottetown and Sydney Deltas.
