Hotel 1898 Barcelona

Oh my gosh!  I am so happy to show you these pictures we took of our Hotel 1898.  I may find some more on other sd cards, but here are these for your enjoyment.   It's a little hard to tell it's Christmas time, for there were not a whole lot of decorations everywhere.  The hotel had a Christmas tree though.

Hotel 1898, has exceptionally friendly staff, lovely decor and rooms, incredible stairwells but it is the only hotel with two pools!  One in the basement and one on the roof, where we saw some amazing city views.  The shower in the Spa pool was a bucket that you gently pulled a chain and the water slid over your body.  I wasn't brave enough to try it but Layla did.  It was so cool!!  The roof top pool was so warm that it didn't matter that the temperature was too cool.  You could walk around the entire rooftop and take pictures.  They also had a sauna up there as well with lots of lawn chairs but since the weather was colder (winter there), not many laid out for the sun.  The night time view of the city was lovely.

I can't say enough about this hotel, we really enjoyed it and would stay there again.  It was a little pricey but well worth it.  We didn't hear noise from the busy street.  There was so much to see and experience.

I have a lot more pictures to post and forgive me, I won't be able to put all the names of the places we saw in Barcelona but some of you might know the names and will send them to me.  Thanks again and enjoy the pictures.

What a spa pool in the basement
