This is a picture from the site of Hotel 1898 in Barcelona. It is still hard to believe we were actually here in December 2010. The pool spa is totally awesome! You can see the luxury waterfall that relaxes your total body as you stand beneath the water. We also relaxed in the pool lunge chairs right in the water. The water is soothingly warm. The atmosphere is so relaxing, soothing and inviting! I miss this lovely hotel, the spa and the staff and can't wait to return one day. It is right on the La Rambla with the busy markets, shops and narrow streets. The wonderful rooftop pool is warm and the view from the roof is incredible. Room service was excellent, including the food and prices. We liked it much better than the actual restaurant and bar. The room has a safe, coffee machine and the bathroom has a warming towel rack and a bade. The little guy ask why do we have two toilets! We laughed. The stairwells are the most beautiful I've ever seen, designed in colours of black and white. The rooms have incredibly comfortable beds, bathrooms of marble and breathtaking balcony views. I encourage you to visit their website and if you ever book your stay there, you could never regret it. It is a definite for your bucket list.
